Prof. Dr. Neeraj Hatekar has served as Professor of Econometrics and Director of the Department of Economics at the University of Mumbai, and is currently affiliated with the Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. He’s also been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
Dr. Hatekar’s research expertise includes economic development, data analytics for public policy and applied econometrics. Through his more than three decades long career, he has authored 55 research papers in refereed journals, is author of the book “Principles of Econometrics (Using R)” (SAGE, 2010) and has successfully guided 15 Ph.D. students. Throughout his career, Dr. Hatekar has collaborated with various organizations and continues to inform policy decisions and promote a deeper understanding of India’s complex economic landscape.
